A quick review of the 2023 Nationals in Darwin. It was a great trip in many ways. A massive drive of 4000km to start off from Narrogin to Darwin - and if we knew how it would turn out, we probably would have stayed home. The best part came after the Nationals as we travelled home along the coast for 2 weeks. for over 5000km - but hey, thats Australia, a massive big country! Of course being Darwin, the heat was the biggest factor. We simply couldn't handle it. Riding in 36 humid Degrees is not our thing. On top of that we had no luck with the bikes. They coped with the heat, but many other things went wrong: a strange clutch failure, 2 broken chains and one bike that just gave up on power. It was simply not meant to be. We did what we could, but in the end it was too much to handle. That is a part of racing, whoever can handle the circumstances best, will be the winner. A massive shoutout to Justin Langridge and Dione Crow from Langa Engineering for their efforts to build a truck short notice to transport everyone's bikes up to Darwin and back!!! ...and also for their help whenever needed at the tracks. After this trip, the focus shifted vety quickly to the 2024 season. Let's do it better again!
