We came back from our trip exhausted and glad to be home. However, 26 hours later we packed up and left again. This time to go to the State Round presentation and Last round in Wanneroo. We are all upset to see the season past, but secretly we are all also quite glad. I mean don't get me wrong we love racing but it all gets very exhausting at times. So its nice to have a short break from full time racing.
The state round #presentation was held at the football oval in Mandurah. It started at 1:00 and went until 4:00. We got served lunch at 1:30 and as soon as lunch and dessert was finished the presentation was under way. When it came to my group to get presented, I eagerly listened for my name and when I did hear it I almost jumped onto the stage. My speech got a few chuckles and that made me very happy knowing that I had amused people with my possibly too long Thank you. I am now officially 5th over all and Rohan is 9th overall. Riona of course being in the demo class isn't in any position but she did get a trophy.
Rohan, Riona and I are looking forward to our last race in Wanneroo for the season. We are also nervous though as this round will be the decider. I am worrying about the type of track Wanneroo is, because I know that one of the reasons I did so well in Murray Bridge is because it is a hard pack track. So I am worried that the difference (even though I have ridden the track many times before) of the track in Wanneroo to the track in Murray Bridge will slow me down massively. Like more then usual. Rohan is chewing away at his bottom lip because at the moment he is only 1 point in front of second in B division, and he needs to beat him in every race that he stays in front. Riona on the other hand is just glad that she can race others her age again.
