Moto X gear! This word alone is enough to get my blood pumping!
No, not for the reasons you'd think! Not because it means, riding, fun, freedom, race, adrenaline pumping, degreaser smelling action pact weekends! No!
Moto x gear & protectors are in fact my biggest love hate items on the planet! Love because they protect my loved ones, it keeps them safe, during their training, riding & racing! Being fortunate enough having our own track, the kids ride through the week when they have time. ( a bit tricky through school term, as they have afternoon sport almost every day)
But this brings us right to my blood pumping hate against protective gear!
3 kids riding, 1 bike shed, 1 shed laundry--> put gear on, go riding, take gear off, done! Right? Simple!
My story:
Boots on the kitchen bench, because one wants warm shoes 😱, gloves in office, helmet on the sofa, socks in the gear bag, goggles in the shed, bike stand in the trailer, fuel in the car, pressure cleaner in front of the main door 😡😤, dirt everywhere because forgot the hair tie upstairs and too lazy to take off boots, pants in the Pole Studio because decided to climb up after riding. Then after 20 min gear hunt, they will complain that going riding is so hard.... can any mother relate????
Am I the only one with unorganised kids?
I stop complaining now as guess what? It's Friday- it is pack up time so we can go to Wanneroo for the next club run! I gotta stop writing as I have to go be hunting for all that gear 3 kids leave laying around on a 100 acre farm! Fingers crossed I will find it all! Every Friday I have that very same fear.....
Yes, I should let them pack, and they should forget shit and then not ride, but that's not why we drive 3 hours there and 3 hours back! This is not why we dedicate our holy weekend to racing! They are so damn happy when they can ride, so I better be safe then sorry and suck it up and pack myself! 😉
