Wanneroo - Round 4

So I guess you know by now that every time there is a round in Wanneroo we drive 3 hours to get there. Well last weekend it was no different. After arriving late Friday night mum and dad quickly set up the caravan for the night (of course us kids being asleep we couldn't help). The next day Rohan, Riona, dad and myself helped with the busy bee while mum started preparing the food for Sunday. After busy bee we went to the big shopping centre in Joondalup. I was felling a bit sick as the car pulled into the car park and it only got worse as we were walking to the shopping centre. Eventually I couldn't stand it anymore and vomited all over the little garden in front of the shop. After my vomiting incident it didn't get much better, in fact it got worse. In the shops I was feeling very tired and a kind woman gave me a Panadol but that didn't kick in for a while. I eventually felt better though within just 15 minutes (that just proves if you eat healthy your body can fight the sickness faster).

When Sunday eventually came we had an early start. With a quick breakfast, we got dressed into our race gear and headed down into the pits for sign on and scrutineering. Practice started early and very soon the races were under way. In my first and second race I came 4th but of course there was some serious fighting for that position. In my last race however I came 5th (not by much) but definitely beaten. Rohan had a tough day, riding two classes (so exhausting right) but being better in the 65 then on the 50. Riona raced this weekend as well but didn't place because she is still in the demo class. Ziara kept everyone busy as usual by running around the bikes and having quite a few near misses, and mum and dad were busy as always making food in mum's case and flagging and making sure our bikes are good for the races in dad's case.
